This is The Faces of HackSoft, our blog series where we introduce you to our talented team members.
In this edition, we introduce you to Georgi Krastev, one of our full-stack developers. šŖ
Let's learn more about him. š

Can you tell us more about yourself?
Hi, I'm Georgi š ā a full-stack developer at HackSoft with a strong passion for learning and growing.
I've always been curious by nature, and I think that fits perfectly with the fast-paced, ever-evolving world of software development. That drive to constantly explore and improve is one of the main reasons I was drawn to the IT field in the first place. š»
How long have you been a part of HackSoft? What languages have you been using?
I've been part of HackSoft for almost a year and a half now, and I genuinely love it. š
As for my day-to-day work, I mainly use Python and TypeScript. I had some experience with C# at my previous job, but I've really come to enjoy working with this new tech stack. š
And what do you like most at HackSoft?
The team strikes a great balance between being friendly and staying focused, which really motivates me and helps me do my best work. šŖ
I strongly believe it's important to take pride in what we build and to see how our work makes a real difference for others ā and that mindset is something you can truly feel at HackSoft.
What drives you coming into work every day?
Being part of a team of hardworking people really pushes me to give my best every day.
Coming from a sports background, I'd say I'm naturally quite competitive ā so being surrounded by passionate, driven colleagues makes me feel right at home.
That's one of the main reasons you'll most often find me working from the office - it's where I feel the energy and motivation to keep pushing forward. š
What's your favorite tool you use daily?
I'd say Guake Terminal.
It's a drop-down terminal for GNOME that you can open instantly with a simple keyboard shortcut ā it slides down from the top of the screen, which makes it super convenient.
I really like it because it adds an extra layer of customization and efficiency on top of the regular terminal, which, as we all know, is something we use constantly as developers. āØ
What are your hobbies/interests?
I'm really into sports. Ever since I was a kid, I've been working out regularly, and over the years it's just become a part of who I am.
Whether it's running, strength training, or an occasional game of football, I feel my best when I'm living an active and healthy lifestyle. šāāļøā½
Aside from playing, I'm also a bit of a "football geek" and love watching matches, analyzing teams and following the sport closely. š
And lastly, how do you drink your coffee?
Just a simple espresso. ā
I'm not really a coffee connoisseur, so I usually can't tell the difference between the various types or brewing methods. For me, it's more about the productivity boost ā I enjoy it first thing after getting into the office. ā
